On Tuesday we left right after 8 o`clock to see place where they make salt. The car ride was 2 hours. The salt place was very fun and everyone loved it.

After that we went to a little town and ate our lunch in the older and historical part of that town. After lunch we had little time to shop before we were going to leave and see the sea.

After lunch we left to another town that was close to the sea. We visited beach also but it was not very sunny, more windy. We walked by the sea but it started raining a lot so it was not fun at all. We had to wait for the bus while it was raining but the the bus finally came and we left.

We came back at seven o`clock and everyone was so tired. Some went someone`s house with their hosts and some just went their own hosts houses.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we didn't have school, because it was a celebration of the World War II ending in France. So everyone spent their day with host families.

I (Noora) went to visit an old medieval castle in . There were different presentations on medieval things, like canoons or archery for example. I also got to try archery.

Iida walked around the town where her host family lives. She went to see a church, and river Loire for example. She also ate at local restaurant and the food was good. After that they also hung out with other French and Finnish students.

Other students hung out together and wonder around the city, some visited Puy du Fou,  for example.

10.5.2019

Morning started at 6 a.m by packing and of course breakfast. About at 7.15 a.m we were at school where buss leave. We said goodbye for our hosts and then our trip back to Finland started. First we went to train station where we wait our train about one hour.

After two hour train trip we waited for flight to Finland at airport for four hours. At airport some of us spin at shops and some og us were sitting waiting for fligh. After the flight we traveled from Helsinki by bus to Hartola and Joutsa.

Thursday

In the morning we went to the school for one lesson. After that we went to Angers by bus. In Angers we had a guided tour and we visited a church. 

After that we visited a castle. 

After the castle we had some free time. 

Then we visited a museum and after that we went back to the school. 

We spend our last evening together at the school. We also had a talent show where some of us were playing or singing. After that everybody went back to their houses to pack.

Monday

On Monday we had a first schoolday. In the morning we had three lessons with older students for example english, mathematics and history. Some of us made friends with slovakian students. After lessons we went to picnic outside.

After eating we had games and little competions with other students. We made mix of finnish, slovakian and french flags. We also made human pyramids and famous sights.

Then we went back to school and right after that we went to play a traditional french game (Boule de Sable) with local grandpas. Cute grandpas gave us applejuice in their clubhouse.

We walked back to school to give presentations. But there was problems with slides so we didn’t have time to give all of the presentations.

A day in Angers

In the sunday I got to see the city of Angers. The weather was good even thought the weatherforecast said that it was supposed to be a rainy day. The city was beautiful and full of life. People were outside spending time in shops, bar’s and café’s.

 

At some point people were little bit too lively in Angers and there was a protest march made by yellow jackets. I was in a shop with my friends when the protestors walked in the street next to the shop where we were. We saw how the police officers throwed smoke granades and tear gas in order to stop the yellow jackets.

Sunday 5.5

Every host family made things that they wanted because it was weekend! 

Puy du Fou is amazing and I recommend it to everyone

Many Finnish student went to Puy du Fou with their hosts. It’s located in Les Epesses. Puy du Fou is a theme park and the theme is middle ages.



There is a lots of differend kind of spectacles, for example gladiator spectacle, horse spectacle with riders and theatre where is a stand that turns 360 degrees around.

Some of the students were for example bowling.

One of the most beautiful places located in England's canal. For exemple Saint Malo's  fortness and Mont Saint-Michel (the fortness on the island)
